Give everyone the same brief
Use the same property details, intended outcome and timeframe. Make sure contractors know about access constraints and work being done by other trades.
Read the inclusions and exclusions
Compare assessment, design, equipment, installation, testing, reinstatement and aftercare. Ask whether VAT and any third-party fees are included.
Clarify the next step

Build a simple comparison sheet
Put each quotation alongside the same headings: assessment, design, equipment, installation, testing, commissioning, reinstatement, aftercare, VAT, exclusions and provisional sums.
